Massive thank you’s to all who attended, either visiting or helping, and made the 16th North East Maths Fair on Saturday 28th June2008, the third at Grangefield, a huge success.
The Fair was quieter than usual but this gave all who attended a greater opportunity to mingle and try out some of the fabulous and diverse activities for themselves. Where we may have lacked in numbers we made up for in enthusiasm!!!
The Maths Fair had its humble origins at Wallbottle and grew into the Newcastle Maths Fair run at Westgate Community College, formally Rutherford School, in Newcastle before taking up residence in 1997 at Houghton-Kepier School, Houghton-le-Spring and changing it's name to the North East Maths Fair. In 2006 we moved the fair to its new home in Stockton-on-Tees at Grangefield School and Technology College and the enthusiasm of our guests and the atmosphere was as electric as ever.
